We work hard on the "Big Five" all week and also had a few surprises in store as well. We had saved 49-C and 58-C just for this game and it was sensational, especially working off of 3-at-2 and reach. I''ve never had so much fun calling plays in all my life."

SHORELINE BULLDOGS (Seattle) 27, Edmonds Cyclones 13 - Bulldogs, now 8-0 overall, win first-round playoff game. Coach Glade Hall: "We were up 20-0 when we had some defensive breakdowns letting them back into it at 20-13 . We then had a gut check and decided to put a fork in it . At the start of the fourth quarter we went on offense from our own 40 yard line . I'm not sure of the play count ( I've not watched the film yet ) but we drove the length of the field, using eight minutes of the clock ( 10 minute quarters ) and scoring the winning TD and putting the game out of reach . We've had some success with the WEDGE but nothing like what happened on Saturday morning . I ran Tight 2 Wedge during that drive , that's it . They couldn't stop it , we simply ran them over. Eight minutes of the Wedge was the easiest series I've ever called. I kept twirling my finger for the same call . It was 4 , 7 , 5 , 11 yards and on and on and on . My B back carried all but two times , the QB ran the others . We played at 8:30 in the morning with fog and a cool breeze on the field . It felt very surreal ( I'm getting deep now ) watching that wedge in that weather on a muddy field."
