Chiefs rushed 52 times for 390 yards, with A-Back Waylon Rhoads carrying 16 times for 183 and 2 TDs. A/C Back Jack Derr carried 8 times for 101 yards. QB Jon Campbell ran for 47 yards and competed 3 of 4 passes for a TD.

SNOW HILL 32, Easton 19 - Underdogs in the eyes of local newspapers, Snow Hill (graduating class: 89 graduating class) upsets Easton (graduating class: 275) with 24 fourth-quarter points. Coach Doug Baker's Double-Wing gained 371 yards in 57 carries: A-Back 172 yards (on 17 carries), B-Back 98 yards (8 carries), C-Back 66 yards (6 carries). Snow Hill lost the ball three times in Easton territory - once on the one=yard line - but never had to punt.

B back Craig Gernaat had 76 yds. on 15 carries, and QB Derek VanderMeer 46 yds. on 7 carries. Two B-Backs had 82 yards between them on 8 carries. K-C's first drive took 15 plays and 8 minutes to go 90 yards; the second drive, an 80-yarder, took over 7 minutes off the clock.

Coach Chris Davidson: "We did not break the Double Wing even once, except for one slot play...We also added a wrinkle to the 6G play.....We have a vicious blocker in our A back, Jones, so we run tight Roar 6G Crack. Obviously by the name, we run him across the formation and then send him down on the LB....Wow what an evil nasty play to run."

DANBURY 26, Houston Christian 22 - Coach Don Davis' debut as Panthers' coach is a successful one as Danbury defeats defending state Private School finalist Houston Christian. The win equalled Danbury's total number of wins for each of the last three seasons. The Panthers rushed for 290 yards in 48 attempts; Coach Davis' C-Back carried 4 times for 70 yards and three touchdowns.
