In two games Moberly has over 800 yards total offense. Excerpted from the pre-game story by Russ Baer in the Columbia, Missouri Tribune: "There will be something foreign on the Rock Bridge Field turf tomorrow night when the Bruins face the Moberly Spartans in a North Central Missouri Conference battle between winless teams. And, although he spent last year in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev teaching English to fourth graders, it won't be first-year Moberly coach Sam Knopik. The Spartans' offense, on the other hand, is about as foreign to American culture as those furry hats Ukrainians wear during the harsh winters. "I've never seen this offense," Rock Bridge coach Jeff Moore said. "We figure he brought it back from the Ukraine." Nope, but Moberly's offense is a blast from the past. The Spartans are running the double wing." (Coach Knopik coached a team in the Ukraine last year, where he ran our Double-Wing system. He has his work cut out for him in the states - reporter Baer goes on in his pre-game story to call Coach Knopik's Moberly team "one of the weakest in the conference." Whatever, it's nice for Coach Knopik to get his first win as an American high school coach.)
