SEEN AT THE 2003 CHICAGO CLINIC
The Chicago clinic, held for the
fifth consecutive year at Rich Central High School, was in
my opinion just about the best I've put on so far. The group
of coaches was quite large and enthusiastic, and after I
offered to cover at least one thing that everybody had
specifically come for, they pretty much set my agenda. We
had guest presentations by host coach Jon McLoughlin, a
five-year veteran of running the Double-Wing, and Bill
Lawlor, who has coached youth teams to Illinois state Bill
George League titles at two different age levels. The
afternoon session was highlighted by an in-the-gym demo by
several of Coach McLaughlin's players, shown below, who
demonstrated cutting-edge plays and formations, an ran plays
that the coaches requested.
